Team Americano: format, rules and scoring
A Team Americano is the team version of the Americano: partners stay fixed as a team and rotate through different opponents each round. Every point a team wins counts toward its total, and the team with the most points at the end wins, ideal for club team leagues and pairs who want to play together.
How a Team Americano works
Players sign up as fixed pairs. Each round the schedule sends every team against a different opposing team, spreading matchups evenly across the field. Because partners never change, it rewards pairs who play well together while still mixing up the opposition.
How scoring works
Each game runs to a fixed number of points, and the points a team wins are added to its running total across all rounds. There is no knockout: the standings are decided purely on accumulated points, so a team can lose a game and still win the event on totals.
When to use Team Americano
Use it when players want to keep their partner, club team leagues, paired social nights, or a corporate event where colleagues team up. For maximum social mixing pick a standard Americano instead; for competitive re-pairing pick a Mexicano. The Padel Organizer runs all three.
